IN THE KITCHEN WITH MLAA! Thank you to the following members and business partners who volunteered to prepare and serve a delicious meal at the men’s shelter operated by Simpson Housing on March 25. It was a great time! THANK YOU!
It’s a lot of fun and very rewarding to provide a delicious meal (if we do say so ourselves) to shelter guests. Generally, 10-15 volunteers are needed as there is plenty to do for everyone (shopping, cooking, baking, slicing/dicing, keeping food trays filled, serving the meal, manning the beverage table, clean-up, etc.). This is a quarterly event and members and business partners are welcome to participate. The time commitment is approximately 5-8:30 pm (whatever you can do) and the next meal service date is June 1, 2010. On-line registration will be soon be available on the calendar.
