New Members Welcomed At Luncheon

The Membership Development Committee hosted a New Member Luncheon on July 14 at the W Minneapolis – Foshay Tower.  There was a great turnout this year with over 50 attendees.  Nearly 30 new members were welcomed to MLAA by the MLAA Board and other chapter leaders, and mentors.  The luncheon provided an opportunity to connect with fellow MLAA members, receive information on the benefits of ALA and MLAA membership and have FUN! 

MLAA Past President and current Region 3 Projects Officer Cheryl Nelson reviewed the benefits available through ALA and Region 3.  Special Guest Delilaw (Sarah Taylor) educated and entertained guests by hosting her radio talk show.  Attendees received “quick reference” handouts containing helpful information on MLAA and ALA benefits and resources.  The event concluded with time for networking and prize drawings.  Congratulations to new members and prize drawing winners Sarah Didrikson, Kevin Rappana and Karen Reitmeier!
