Quest Award

ALA's "Quest Award" recognizes a new member who is involved in a number of Association activities and demonstrates conviction, dedication and relentless pursuit of personal and professional excellence. By way of example only, the member’s participation may include things such as: attending the annual conference, a regional or specialty conference; participate in ALA’s new member orientation or other webcasts; joining a chapter committee; serving as a chapter officer; recruiting new members; participating in ALA’s community challenge weekend, etc. The award recipient will also demonstrate traits from a successful quest (care, risk, dream, achieve and excel) and the Association’s performance objectives for members.

Chapter Presidents receive a list of eligible candidates from their chapter each year, giving them an opportunity to nominate one  candidate for this award.
